Patrick Beverley faces a suspension for his cheap advance by Chris Paul on Wednesday night.
Shortly before the end of his Los Angeles Clippers game 6 loss at home to the Phoenix Suns, a frustrated Beverley went to the Bush League against Paul. He shoved Paul in the back for no apparent reason.
Beverley apologized to Paul for his behavior on Thursday. However, he must not evade discipline.
Yahoo’s Chris Haynes reported Thursday that Beverley is being bailed out for his “dangerous” push in Paul’s back. With the Clippers out, Beverley’s suspension is being considered for the start of next season.
If Beverly is banned from starting the next NBA season, it would be worth it. Beverly is lucky that Paul was not injured after that shock.
