Moises “B-Boy Moy” RiverasShe is a legend in the world of breakdance. Most recently, he helped bring breakdancing to the 2024 Olympics as a competitive sport. Before breakdancing hit the world stage, b-boy Moy teamed up monster energy in the Dream Circles series to raise awareness of the art form.
Monster Energy’s four-part series “Dream Circles” premiered on October 26. Her third episode is set to be released tomorrow, November 23rd, where we meet other Monster-sponsored athletes and breakers extraordinary. Miguel “Gravity” Rosario.
Also known as “Gravity” in the breakdance world, Rosario started out as an all-around gymnast at a young age. By the time he was sixteen, he had already won state and regional championships and had taken home over twelve first-place medals. The Long Island City native admits he was getting bored of winning and being inspired by the 2004 dance film you have been servedhe started to explore the world of breaking.
As a complete moment coming full circle, Gravity now heads to the 2024 Olympics as one of the most influential breakers on the planet.
“That was the basis for my break. Because of that discipline, I was able to break this, and I was climbing faster than anyone can imagine… what took people ten years to do, I did in three. Without gymnastics, I couldn’t have raised the bar,” says Gravity.
“He’s actually the first I’ve seen do a roundoff back double in a battle, the guy’s light-footed and not scared,” exclaims breakdance legend Ken Swift.
