Facebook defends Lizzo.
TMZ reported Tuesday that the social media platform had removed hateful and insensitive comments about the “Rumors” singer.
A source on Facebook says the company has already removed numerous comments on Lizzo’s latest social media posts and will continue to pay attention to the hateful comments.
The news comes just days after Lizzo burst into tears speaking about the fat phobic and racist remarks she received after the Cardi B-sponsored track was posted online.
“People who have something mean to say about you and that usually doesn’t hurt my feelings. I don’t care, ”she said through tears. “I just think if I work that hard, my tolerance will decrease. My patience is less. I’m more sensitive and that gets on my nerves. “
Cardi B added her thoughts to the conversation. “When you stand up for yourself, they claim you are problematic and sensitive,” she wrote. “If you don’t tear it, they will tear you apart until you cry like this. Whether you are thin, tall, or plastic, they will always try to impose their insecurities on you. Remember, these are nerds who look at the popular table. “
