LiAngelo Ball is making the most of his Summer League appearance and it appears the Charlotte Hornets are taking notes.
Ball, who signed with the Hornets’ Summer League team, has impressed for the team so far. In the Las Vegas Summer League action, the middle ball brother averaged 10.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game. It is noteworthy that he shoots over 40 percent from the three-point distance and always looked like he belonged in the competition.
The hornets know. NBA reporter Jordan Schulz said on Sunday that the Hornets “love” the ball and that it has a chance of a place in the G League or even the NBA
Ball hopes to get a squad spot in the NBA or G League in the 2021/22 season.
The Hornets could sign him to play alongside younger brother LaMelo, who won the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award last season. His older brother Lonzo joined the Chicago Bulls that offseason on a four-year contract for $ 85 million. With all three brothers playing NBA ball early in the season, their father, LaVar Ball, would finally see his vision accomplished.
