NBA 2K has announced the full list of cover athletes for NBA 2K22, the next installment in the top-rated, best-selling NBA video game simulation series in the past 20 years.
The game’s Standard Edition and cross-gen digital bundle will feature the global phenomenon and two-time NBA All-Star Luka Dončić. The NBA 75th Anniversary Edition will have a trio of the NBA’s most influential great men – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant – showing how each of these athletes changed the game.
NBA 2K22 will be released worldwide on September 10, 2021 and is available for pre-order today.

- Hall of Famer, six-time NBA champion and six-time MVP and all-time NBA scoring leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a legend who still influences today’s game from his patented Skyhook to his activism on social issues;
- The 14-time all-star, NBA champion and MVP Dirk Nowitzki not only embodies the global expansion of basketball, but also the development of the game itself as a prototypical sniper big man;
- Eleven-time All-Star, League MVP and two-time NBA Champion Kevin Durant, a legend of his own and known for his unique presence in the league, is entering for the third time. onNBA® 2KSportsman cover.
The NBA 75th Anniversary Edition and Cross-Gen Digital Bundle contain artwork by Atlanta-based artist Charly Palmer, whose work in the visual arts is defined by complex compositions and a unique technique and style. He is most recently known for his series of paintings and compositions entitled “Civil Rights” entitled “America Must Change”.

The WNBA is also making the front pages as The Chicago Sky’s Candance Parker becomes the first female title athlete in the game’s history. In North America, players can purchase a special version of the Standard Edition with six-time WNBA All Star and WNBA Champion Candace Parker on the cover, and it is available exclusively through GameStop and EB Games.
