Michael B. Jordan will play the leading role in the new directorial film by Denzel Washington.
Yesterday the official trailer for A diary for Jordan was published. Actor, Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Fruitvale Station) plays in the first trailer for the love drama. The film, directed by Denzel Washington, is based on the true memoirs “A Journal for Jordan: A Story of Love and Honor” by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Dana Canedy.
According to reports, A diary for Jordan follows the true story of First Sergeant Charles Monroe King, played by Jordan. Unfortunately, King was tragically killed in Iraq in 2006 when his son was just seven months old. During his time abroad, he wrote letters to his newborn son, who was also named Jordan. His wife Canedy, played by Chanté Adams in the film, kept all the poignant letters in a book for their son.
Michael B. Jordan is no stranger to playing the role of a soldier on the big screen. In April of that year, Jordan starred in the action film Without regrets across from Lauren London.
Long-time actor Denzel Washington has limitless talent. Washington directed and starred in the 2016 filmfenceswhich helped him earn Oscar nominations for Best Picture and Best Actor.
A diary for Jordan is to be premiered in cinemas at Christmas.
