Grammy-winning rapper and producer Nas has launched the newest MasterClass course in hip-hop poetry and storytelling.
The class reportedly features the Queensbridge rapper sharing his techniques as part of an insight into his creative process. Nas invites members to an exclusive studio session and takes them on a journey to learn how to bring music to life.
As he guides you through the writing and recording process of Big Nas, his latest release written exclusively for MasterClass. The hip-hop legend also gives its expert advice on writing bold but profound lyrics, becoming a successful artist, and finding your identity.
In his class, Nas shares his philosophy as a copywriter and how he uses his life experiences and emotions to create cinematic texts. He also gives valuable tips on navigating the music industry.
“Quincy Jones told me years ago, ‘You never stop learning. You’re always a student, ‘”said Nas.” When I went through my previous work, I realized that this course is something I really wanted to do. “
Nas added, “I look forward to bringing MasterClass members into my world. Whether it’s rap or a genre of music, I want people to be creative and listen to that voice in their head. If you trust your gut feeling and your first instincts, you cannot lose. “
Nas works with artists like Questlove, Timbaland, and Alicia Keys in the MasterClass, which costs at least $ 15 a month.
