The Golden State Warriors look set to end the regular season without Steph Curry. Curry will be out indefinitely after reportedly suffering a sprained ligament in his left foot, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Curry suffered a left foot injury late in the first half and Golden State coach Steve Kerr didn’t like Marcus Smart’s lunge at the reigning NBA top scorer.
“I thought it would be a dangerous game. I thought Marcus got Steph in the foot,” Kerr said. “I was angry about that. Respect for Mark. He’s a damn good player, gamer, competitor. I trained him in the World Cup a few summers ago. We talked after the game, we’re good. I thought it was a dangerous game; Just let him know.”
Draymond Green defended Smart’s game and didn’t think it was dirty.
The Warriors are currently third in the Western Conference at 47-23. The team must find a way to make up for Curry’s production and finish the final 12 games of the season without him.
