Dwayne Johnson is apparently not moved by Vin Diesel’s request to return Fast & Furious Franchise.
Vin Diesel took to Instagram earlier this year to convince The Rock to put their differences aside and repeat his role for the finale Fast & Furious Movie.
“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world is waiting for the finale of Fast 10. As you know, in my house you refer to my kids as Uncle Dwayne, ”Diesel said on Instagram. “There is no public holiday on which you and you do not send good wishes… but the time has come. The legacy is waiting. I told you years ago that I would keep my promise to Pablo. I swore that in the finale, which is 10, we would achieve and manifest the best fast! I say this for love … but you have to show up, don’t let the franchise sit idle, you have a very important role to play. Hobbs cannot be played by anyone else. I hope that you are up to the opportunity and fulfill your destiny. “
In a recent interview with CNN, Johnson said that Diesel’s position was “manipulative” and that he did not like the way he raised his children or the late Paul Walker in the position. He added that he had spoken to Diesel privately and said there was “no chance” that he would return to the final F&F Rate.
“Vin’s new post really surprised me. Last June, when Vin and I had actually not connected through social media, I told him directly – and privately – that I wasn’t going back to the franchise. I was firm but warm in my words, saying that I would always support the cast and always stand up for the success of the franchise, but that I have no chance of going back. I have also spoken privately to my partners at Universal who have all been very supportive as they understand the problem.
Vin’s recent public contribution was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he raised his kids in the Post, nor did Paul Walker’s death. Let them out. We talked about it months ago and came to a clear agreement. My goal all along has been to end my amazing journey with this incredible Fast & Furious franchise with gratitude and grace. It is regrettable that this public dialogue is tarnishing the water. Regardless, I believe in the ‘Fast’ universe and its ability to deliver consistently to audiences, and I sincerely wish my former co-stars and crew members the best of luck and success in the next chapter. “
Apparently, Johnson and Diesel’s beef came from filming too F & F8. In an interview at the time of the film’s release, Johnson said, “There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this. My female co-stars are always great and I love them. However, my male co-stars are a different story, “he wrote, adding,” Some behave as insurgents and true professionals while others don’t. “
