Chris Rock made a bold statement against anti-Vaxxers on his most recent comedy stint.
On Wednesday he opened for the Strokes at the Brooklyn Steel venue. He also called on unvaccinated basketball player Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets, who refused to comply with New York City’s vaccination mandate that professional athletes be vaccinated to exercise or play in public places.
“Where are my anti-vaxxers? Where are you? “Rock, 56, asked the crowd with a handful of answers.” You damn stupid Kyrie mama! “He went on, referring to Kyrie Irving, whose refusal to be vaccinated is currently keeping him out of court.
In September, a vaccinated skirt tested positive for COVID-19 and took the moment to encourage its fans to get the sting.
“Hey guys, I just found out I have COVID, trust me, you don’t want that,” Rock tweeted at the time. “To be vaccinated.”
He later compared his recovery from illness to returning from the dead.
“I’m a two-stroke skirt that’s what they call me,” he quipped. “I was like, ‘Stand aside, Betty White, I did’ Pootie Tang ‘. Stand aside, old folks.
“I was on the Titanic like Billy Zane,” he continued. “Lion [DiCaprio] died. Billy Zane lived to see one more day. I don’t want to be Leo at the bottom of the ocean. Billy Zane got another wife after this thing.
“You really want to be a Leo – but not in this movie.”
