I made the big switch 3 years ago … I stopped going to a hair salon and started coloring my hair at home! You’re probably wondering why, and the truth is there were a couple of different reasons. First reason: I have quite a few shades of gray at this point and since my hair is growing pretty quickly, I have to touch up my roots every 2 weeks or so. Visiting a hair salon was often very costly, not to mention it was really time consuming and often inconvenient.
The second reason was my hair health. If you’ve been following my blog for a long time, you know that I’ve changed my hair color many times and went from black to blonde in a relatively short amount of time, that obviously took its toll … My hair felt dead and crisp, it was lifeless and boring, and I was completely dissatisfied with the way it looked.
I started to explore my options. I wanted to go back to my natural shade and work on getting my hair back to a healthy state, and that’s when I came across Olia from Garnier. What attracted me Olia is the fact that it’s an AMMONIA-FREE formula (formulated with 60% natural flower oils) yet is a permanent hair color with 100% GRAY COVERAGE!
Was I skeptical when I first used it? Yes, I was! But it covered my gray hair, my hair looked immediately shinier and healthier, and most importantly, I was now able to dye my hair anytime I wanted at home!
One more quick note, if, like me, you’re sensitive to odors, you’ll love thisOliadoesn’t have that harsh ammonia smell, but a very pleasant floral aroma, so I really enjoy coloring my hair now.
I’ve been using it for 3 years now, I never switch to any other hair color! I’ve tried natural hair color before (henna is so messy and time consuming) but honestly nothing like it. It’s super quick to use (same processing time as any other hair color – 30 minutes), it’s easily available and inexpensive, it colors my grays, but most importantly, it doesn’t damage my hair and it keeps it healthy.
