Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown released a rap song just hours after storming off the field during the Bucs game against the New York Jets.
Brown, who goes by the stage name AB and was looped for working with 6ix9ine last year, dropped the song tonight (December 2nd). The song, titled “Pit Not the Palace,” doesn’t seem to address any of the events that happened today, but rather Brown’s high-end lifestyle. People have already started to speculate that Brown’s stunt on the field was just an advertisement for the new track. You can listen to it at the bottom of this post.
The Buccaneers won the game today, but when Brown put down his kit and walked off the field, they were 24-10 behind the Jets. See the footage of him below.
This is the first song Brown has released in recent years. In 2021, he released a 15-track album entitled Himmothy and has dropped various singles since 2019.
After AB’s stunt on the field, he was fired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According toSports illustratedyesterday NFL team head coach Bruce Arians announced that Brown is “no longer Buc” after leaving the field shirtless in the third quarter of the football game against the Jets.
“I’m not talking about it. He’s not part of the Bucs,” Arian said while speaking to the press after the now viral incident.
The exact reason Antonio Brown left the field in the middle of the game is unclear, but Fox Sports reporter Jen Hale said after the ordeal that AB “boiled over” with frustration and that he was “very upset on the sidelines”.
AB recently caught flak and a three-game ban for using a fraudulent vaccination card to bypass the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols.
