Cassidy accused Tory Lanez of stealing his bars, and now Cass is going on wax to the rap crooner.
On Sunday (August 1st) Cass released the diss track “Perjury” by Tory Lanez. In the new song, the Philadelphia rapper shoots Tory directly. “I made the boy hot, that Canadian bacon,” begins Cas, referring to Tory’s Canadian heritage.
“What I write makes my bolts hard to bite / bolts hold still you keep stealing all the bolts you write / fuck all the hype you’ve been a slut all your life Harlem nights“Cassidy raps later in the song, referring to Tory, who was accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion last year.
Elsewhere in the chorus-less song, Cass continues to accuse Tory of misusing lines. “Bitch you think we’re stupid, you ain’t come from where we come from / Canada has free health care, you’re going to need something / There are stolen bars in all the records he’s made / None of his shitty originals, shit pathetic”, he raps. You can listen to the track at the end of this post.
That beef started last month when Cass called Tory by posting a video on Instagram with multiple examples of Tory spit nails eerily similar to the bars Cassidy spat earlier. “I’m @torylanez’s favorite rapper. There’s no denying that. Show me the respect I deserve,” Cass captioned the clips.
Tory replied and said he was just trying to pay homage to him. “I think that’s what happens when you try to pay homage to him,” wrote Lanez on Instagram. “In the first freestyle I screamed your name because you inspired me. The second one where I went on YOUR beat. Shit is sad how you old n * ggas are angry at the young n * ggas for them then have shown no love when we do … we get answers like this. “
During a recent interview with Hip Hop Uncensored, Cass spoke about the situation. “Pay homage and let niggas know that I’m the reason you sound and rap this way,” he snapped. “Don’t just rap on my beat. And I don’t need no fucking shoutouts from niggas
It looks like Cas felt that he had to endure the situation to grow. Tory Lanez has yet to respond on social media.
