Da Brat, she lives happily ever after.
The rapper wed fiancé Jesseca “Judy” Dupart in a fairytale ceremony on 2/22/22.
According to PEOPLE, 100 guests were present when the couple said “I do” at the Horse Mansion in Fairburn, Georgia, including Kandi Burruss, Eva Marcille and Porsha Williams.
Brat, 47, and Dupart, 40, arrived in Cinderella-esque horse-drawn carriages, both wearing clothes designed by Esé Azénabor. Best man Jermaine Dupri escorted Brat down the aisle while Da Brat’s sister LisaRaye McCoy served as bridesmaid.
Da Brat, née Shawntae Harris, gushed about her new wife. “Everything about her made me want her to be mine forever,” she said. “And I felt like I hadn’t known it much longer than the day we met.”
Your wedding date has a special meaning. “We’ve been calling ourselves twin flames for a while. So this date, 2/22/22, is a significant event. We just didn’t want to miss it because it happens once in a lifetime,” explained Dupart. “It’s relevant. It’s just very important to our relationship. It means angel numbers and is also reminiscent of twin flames.”
After the magical evening, the couple danced out of reception, accompanied by the Treme Sidewalk Steppers Second Line Band, before driving off in a blue Bentley. The celebrations will be documented in an upcoming episode of her WE-TV reality series Brat Loves Judy.
Brat, who only publicly came out as gay in March 2020, credits Dupart with giving her the courage to live for herself. “She is the person who completes me. She encourages me,” she said. “She inspires me and makes me fearless. She doesn’t scare me.”
The newlyweds will honeymoon in Turks and Caicos before welcoming their first baby together.
