DaBaby’s year continues.
After earning platinum plaques for his albums and singles, the “rock star” rapper feels confident and is not afraid to show it off. In his Instagram story on Tuesday, he declared himself “the best rapper” while claiming that his colleagues were “afraid” to work with him because they see him as a threat.
“Best Mf rapper and I’m on ALLLAT shit about this N ** as LIE,” wrote DaBaby. “I am he forfr. When a *** isn’t trying to work with the real thing they’re FEARING. The best should compete with the best. These N ** as only SPEAK as if they like the SHUUUUT UP. “
While it may be a bold statement, DaBaby has earned its show-off rights. He received RIAA certifications for his hits like “Rockstar” (5x platinum), “Suge” (4x platinum), “Bop” (3x platinum), “Vibez” (2x platinum) and more.
DaBaby leads with Megan Thee Stallion with seven nominations at the BET Awards 2021, where he is nominated in categories such as Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Album of the Year Blame it baby.
And it doesn’t slow down. He currently has a top 10 hit with his Dua Lipa collaboration “Levitating”, which is No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
