DJ Khaled is recovering from a battle with COVID-19.
That Father of Asahd returned to social media on Thursday (Aug. 12) to reveal that he and his family caught the coronavirus and have since recovered.
“My family and I have recovered from COVID and we are all fine now !!” That’s what Khaled told his 25 million Instagram followers.
It’s unclear if all four members of his family had COVID, but he shared a slideshow of photos with his wife, Nicole, and their two sons, Aalam and Asahd. Khaled, known for his active social media usage, went offline for three weeks and hadn’t updated his Instagram or Twitter accounts.
He then thanked the doctors and his team for their help during the recovery process. “Thank you, grateful for all the love, grateful for everyone who visits my family and me!” he wrote. “Please be safe out there! Please take care of yourself.”
Khaled added, “God is the greatest! God loves us and we love God! Thank you all!”
Earlier this week, Khaled received two MTV VMAs 2021 nominations, including Best Director and Video of the Year for “POPSTAR,” his collaboration with Drake and Justin Bieber.
COVID cases are on the rise as the Delta variant spreads in the US. Other artists, including Wiz Khalifa and The Kid LAROI, recently announced they had COVID.
