The new album from French Montana You have amnesia supposed to arrive on Friday but may be missing a major feature.
When the original tracklist was revealed, Drake was featured on a song called “Splash Brothers”. However, HipHop-N-More points out that the song has been removed from the tracklist on Apple Music and replaced with something called “Fraud”.
Fans have speculated that “Splash Brothers” may have been removed from the album because it contained lyrics that could be perceived as a shot at Ye.
Earlier this year, an excerpt from the track was leaked in which Drake refers to his alleged relationship with Kim Kardashian. “I’m going to fuck a rapper’s wife and she’s not even my type,” he allegedly raps.
Earlier this week, Drake and Ye crushed their beef and reunited in Toronto, so it’s possible Drake tore up the song amid their reconciliation.
Previously, Drake annoyed Ye with his lyrics on “Greece”, which also seemed to relate to Kim. “Rolls-Royce, baby, in Hidden Hills / Bags full of hundred dollar bills / Jog past your wife and she’ll get the chills,” he raps.
While Kim has denied the two partnered up, Kanye wasn’t happy that Drake was suggesting otherwise. “But you behaved like that,” he said in his recent “Drink Champs” interview. “It’s like someone throwing a marble and hiding their hand.”
TO UPDATE: TMZ claims Drake pulled the song because he didn’t think it appropriate to release it after the Astroworld tragedy, and not because it related to Kanye and Kim. It is said to be released in an upcoming deluxe edition of You have amnesia.
