Drake could rekindle his feud with Kanye West.
In Trippie Redd’s new song “Betrayal,” Drake seems to be shooting at his longtime rival.
“All these fools that I am, that I hardly know,” raps Drake on the track from Trippie’s new album Excursion at Knight. “45, 44 (burned out), let it go / you don’t change anything for me, it’s set in stone.”
The lyrics of “45, 44” could be a clue to Kanye’s age (he’s 44) while some fans have also speculated that he’s talking about Pusha T, who is the same age.
There have been rumors that Kanye is waiting to be released DONDA until Drake falls Certified lover boy. But Drake seems to reject the idea that he’s going to move CLBRelease date due to ye.
After the song fell, Consequence came to Kanye’s defense, calling on Drake for “disrespect.”
“Fuck treason, that’s disrespect to me, buddy Wit Trippie Redd Shotgun,” he wrote. “Respect my team, it’s party time.”
Rap rivals have been at odds for years after Drake accused Ye of fueling his beef with Pusha T by giving him the information about his son Adonis used in his 2018 dissertation, The Story of Adidon.
Pusha recently raised his eyebrows with his lyrics to Pop Smoke’s “Tell the Vision,” which some believe was a shot at Drake.
“Tyler has the album of the year for now / But Pop about to drop, I see the platinum in the Clouds / Now Push about to drop, so real trappers stay close,” he raps on the Kanye-supported track. “The crown is only for the king and they are trying to put it on a clown.”
