Fetty Wap is due to be released on $ 500,000 bail as he awaits trial on his federal drug case.
Rapper “My Way,” nee Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested on October 28 at Citi Field in New York City on drug trafficking charges just before he was about to take the stage at Rolling Loud New York.
Federal prosecutors allege Fetty along with five others distributed more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and crack cocaine in New Jersey and Long Island. Federal authorities claim the drugs were first sourced on the west coast and smuggled to the east coast via USPS vehicles with secret lockers.
Under the terms of his release, he is required to wear a GPS monitor and undergo a random drug test. He must also hand in his passport and obtain authorization prior to travel.
The indictment, filed on September 29, accused Fetty of a conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances.
During the investigation, federal agencies received $ 1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, 2 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, pistols, handguns and a rifle.
Fetty and his co-defendants face life imprisonment if convicted.
