It was almost inevitable that someone would swallow the bait in the form of Uncle Murda’s infamous “2021 Rap Up,” and it looks like the first person would be Freddie Gibbs.
On Saturday afternoon (January 1), Gibbs commented that he had been dissed by UM over the latest version of the controversial track. “Niggaz is talking shit happy new year, pay your rent bitch,” the rapper from Gary, Ind., Wrote on Twitter. “I can’t wait to go to New York,” he wrote in a follow-up tweet.
Gibbs also responded on Instagram. “NYC should be ashamed of all of you who don’t rap, ass niggas. This is my shit now, ”he wrote. “So many New York rappers on my dick. I can’t wait to go into town and show you guys how to sell them byke byke. “
From then on, things turned into a back-and-forth between Gibbs and his media archenemy DJ Akademiks, who taunted Gibbs on Twitter by addressing the brawl reportedly fought last month between Gibbs and Jim Jones outside the Prime 112 restaurant in Miami would. “FEDERICK Gibbs is beaten up by a New York rapper and frowned upon by another who is now calling out all of New York,” said Ak Gibbs’ post.
“Keep posting to me, it’s all just a commercial bitch,” Gibbs replied. “Show sold out too slut,” he added. Gibbs also countered that he was not touched during the alleged scuffle between his camp and Capo’s crew.
Gibbs was shouted extensively on Murda’s new song “2021 Rap Up,” which came out Saturday morning. “Now let me smoke a blunt and come to my zone / Akademiks said Freddie Gibbs was beaten up by Jim Jones,” raps Murda. “Not a big fan of his, the streets don’t rock with him / This is Elliott ad B. Dot who gives him all these props / So when he talks hard we don’t believe what he says / His dad is a cop and his Brother with the DEA / Yeah, I don’t like his reaction when Nas won the Grammy / He never lost in court because law enforcement is his family / I know I’m not the only one feeling hated / Freddie album Doesn’t deserve to be nominated for a Grammy. “
