The end of the work week brings new music for the weekend, including the return of one of Atlanta’s most influential rhymers, a Grammy-nominated DMV artist and one of the newest Quality Control Music signers.
It’s been a minute since we got a new solo LP from Gucci Mane, but Guwop is back with his first album since 2019. Ice cream dad. The new work includes 17 songs, including the singles “34 & 8” with Pooh Shiesty and “Shit Crazy” with Big30. The album cover features a picture of Gucci’s son Ice Davis donning a pair of iced necklaces and a dripping Gucci designer fit. The infant is also listed as the executive producer of the project.
Goldlink is also coming back with his first album in two years. The native Washington DC Haram! LP was first announced on June 9th, while ‘Link on Twitter made some not-so-subtle stitches against his rhyme colleague Sheck Wes. The continuation of 2019 DiasporaAlbum contains 15 songs and guest appearances from 2021 XXLFreshman Flo Milli, Rich The Kid, NLE Choppa, Pressa and more. The new offer is led by the single “White Walls” produced by Rio. Before the album was released, Goldlink also released a fresh new track called “Raindrops” with Flo Milli.
One week after the release of Migos’ Culture IIIAlbum, Atlanta-based powerhouse label Quality Control Music holds the ball with the new mixtape by 18-year-old artist Metro MarrsPopular loner. The newcomer made headlines last month after being arrested by police at his high school graduation ceremony after raining $ 10,000 on attendees and his classmates. Now he is taking advantage of the excitement with his debut tape. After the singles “Prosper” and “NonChalant”, the release will be Marrs’ proper introduction to hip-hop.
