With about as much hype as any other release in 2022, Joey Bada$$ unleashes his first full-length album in five years 2000. Serves as a continuation of the project that made it the mainstream rap game in 2012 1999the new 14-track album features the signature introspective boom-bap sound with a modern feel that Joey fans have been craving.
Originally scheduled for June but slightly delayed due to sample releases, 2000 contains four previously released songs, “Head High”, “Where I Belong”, “Survivor’s Guilt” and “Zipcodes”, all of which received critical acclaim. Featuring smooth beats from producers like Statik Selektah, Rahki and Kirk Knight, Joey’s latest album features hard-hitting guest appearances from Westside Gunn, Chris Brown, Diddy and JID
When you talk about the LP in an interview with XXL In May this year, Joey admitted he’s just as excited about his third studio offer as his fans are. “I’m just ready for it to come out,” said the Brooklyn native. “I know the world needs new Joey music. Shit, Joey wants to give the world new music.”

With that in mind, the “Righteous Minds” rhymer is celebrating his longevity in hip-hop with a 20-date tour.
Nardo Wick returns to feed the streets. After constantly teasing that the project has been in the works since April, he comes through Who is Nardo Wick? (deluxe). The follow-up to Wickman’s 2021 platinum-selling debut album, Who is Nardo Wick?,was introduced by the Tay Keith-produced single “Krazy Krazy” and “Riot”, which was released on November 10th.
Despite the album’s months-long rollout, the newly anointed member is the 2022 XXLFreshman Class just made the official announcement of the release of the project last Monday (July 18th). Nardo brings to this project the witty punchlines and factual rhymes that earned him initial praise.
In her first project since her debut album 2020 nightmare vacation Rico Evil Drops Read ruins, a gift that is dear to her heart. Ahead of releasing the 17-song project, the Maryland-bred Spitter took to Twitter to let her fans know she’s considering itRead ruinsto be her “most experimental and vulnerable work of all time”.
Featuring a total of five songs that preceded the project, including “Vaderz” with Bktherula, “Intrusive”, “Black Punk”, “Jungle” and “Blow Me”,Read ruinsshows a side of Rico that may be new to some fans, while still offering the same striking traits that fans of the “Smack a Bitch” artist have come to love.
