Yeezy is coming.
After much speculation, Kanye West has confirmed that it is his 10th solo studio album DONDA comes out this Friday, July 23rd. The announcement came in a new Beats by Dre commercial starring track sensation Sha’Carri Richardson, which aired during game 6 of the NBA Finals. The 60-second spot, recorded and edited by Kanye, features a new song called “No Child Left Behind”.
DONDA will premiere on Thursday at a sold out listening event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which will be streamed live worldwide on Apple Music at 8 p.m. ET.
Earlier this week, Kanye showed the album to a select group of friends and fans in a church in Las Vegas. The album, for which a preliminary tracklist has been leaked, is said to include collaborations with Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Pusha T, Post Malone, Playboi Carti, Westside Gunn, Baby Keem and more.
Kanye also played his latest work for Kevin Durant and web personality Justin Laboy, who raved about Yes’s new music. “Production is light years ahead of its time and the bars sound like he’s broke and hungry as he tries to get back under contract,” he tweeted. “The man changed the sound of the music on this project.”
Kanye played me his new album & @ KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. Man listen! Production is light years ahead of its time and the bars sound like he’s broke and hungry to get back under contract. Any artist planning to fall anytime soon should just push it back 😤😤 #Respectfully

DONDA, named after Kanye’s late mother, will be released almost a year before the original release date on July 24, 2020. It will follow in 2019 Jesus is king, which topped the charts and won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Album.
