Migos tease their third episode of the Culture Album series for years, and the Atlanta trio is finally getting away with the highly anticipated new album, Culture III.
On Friday (June 11th) Quavo, Takeoff and Offset released the 2018 sequel Culture II, a new 19-song edition with assists from big names like Drake, Future, Cardi B, Juice Wrld, Pop Smoke and more. On the production side, Quality Control Music’s rappers have tapped beat-makers Zaytoven, Tay Keith, Wheezy, Murda Beatz, DJ Durel, Trauma Tone, and others. The new album contains the previously released singles “Straightenin” and “I Need It” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and of course a lot of jargon, ad-libs and trap thoughts that we got used to from the southern rap stars.
Fans of the rap group have been patiently waiting for the album for an unusually long time. There was only a year between the release of Culture and Culture II, the latter of which includes the hit singles “MotorSport”, “Stir Fry”, “Walk It Talk It” and “Narcos”. C3 was first announced for early 2019. When came and went without the album in early 2019, Offset later told fans that 2020 was the planned schedule.
The album then seemed to fall victim to the COVID-19 pandemic like many other delays. At some point the group announced that the album would not be called Culture IIIbut since then they have changed their minds. In January last year, Offset noted C3 would be the “last chapter”.
