Nicki Minaj’s mixtape hits the charts for the first time.
Twelve years after its first publication Beam me up, Scotty will debut at number 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The groundbreaking project, which was first released on streaming platforms on May 14, is expected to sell 80,000 equivalent album units in the first week.
A grateful Minaj who took to Twitter pondered her trip and thanked her trusty Barbz for her support. “80K wow. My self 12 years ago would be so proud, ”she tweeted. “No videos, lyric videos, no tik token challenges, no radio and no extensive playlist as this comes as a surprise. I didn’t even add clean versions to the songs. “
Beam me up, ScottyMinaj’s third mixtape was originally released on April 18, 2009 and paved the way for her legendary career. “Long live #BeamMeUpScotty, I love you so much. Thank you, ”she added.

In addition to the original 18 tracks, Beam me up, Scotty features three new songs including “Fractions”, “Crocodile Teeth (Remix)” and “Seeing Green” starring Drake and Lil Wayne. The previously released “Chi-Raq” and “Boss Ass Bitch (Remix)” are also included.
J. Cole’s album The low season is expected to take first place on the Billboard 200 next week, with projected sales of 288,000 equivalent album units.
