Polo G was arrested while celebrating the release of his new album.
On the way to an after party for Hall of Fame In Miami, the rapper, who was born Taurus Bartlett, was arrested on multiple charges, including assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest by force, and criminal mischief.
According to a police report from the Miami Herald, the 22-year-old was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after he got into an argument with a police officer at around 1am on Saturday (June 12).
The Miami Police are aware of the incident involving Mr. Taurus Bartlett, also known as Polo G, and another male youth. We will provide updates as soon as they are available.

While the policeman tried to handcuff Polo, “the two got into a fight on the ground.” The officer was allegedly beaten multiple times in the head, chin, forehead and cheek and suffered “multiple injuries”.
According to the arrest report, after Polo said to the officer after he was in custody, “I’ll kill you, I swear I’ll use those fists to beat the shit out of your body and knock your ass out.”
In a video posted on Instagram, Polo G mother and manager Stacia Mac said Miami police stopped her son and 16-year-old brother while they were safely driving a car after his album release party.
“My kids called me in a frenzy and said the police were all behind them, 20 cars behind them,” said Mac, who said the police refused to see their underage son. “They stopped them because they drove during Black.”
Polo, whose bond totaled $ 19,500, did not bring up the incident. On Friday he released his new album Hall of Fame with Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch, DaBaby, Pop Smoke and more.
