Pop Smoke, Boosie BadAzz, and More – New Projects This Week

This week brings music people have been waiting for: a second posthumous release from a popular Brooklyn drilling rapper, a new venture from a Louisiana rap veteran, and a collaboration between two California natives, one of which is 2021 XXL Student in the first year.

The saying goes, “You can’t say pop and forget the smoke,” and this week his team is delivering a second posthumous album of the undeniable talent with the distinctive scratchy voice.trust, Pop Smoke’s second LP, which is also the second time since his tragic murder on February 19, 2020, has arrived. The fully loaded project has high profile features like Kanye West, Pusha T, Rick Ross, The-Dream, 42 Dugg, 21 Savage, Takeoff, Future, Chris Brown, Dua Lipa, Pharrell, Quavo, Kid Cudi, Kodak Black and more. Brooklyn colleagues Bizzy Banks and Rah Swish and Lil Tjay from the Bronx also perform. Although Pop Smoke hasn’t been physical for nearly a year and a half, its memory lives on through its music.
