According to Pusha T, JAY-Z is the GOAT.
During an interview to promote his new album It’s almost drythe rap veteran confirmed what many hip-hop fans think, that Hov is the best it’s ever done.
“Hov to me he’s like the best rapper like just a dot,” Pusha told Swaggy you from SiriusXM.
The rap gods recently collaborated on the Pharrell-produced “Neck & Wrist” off It’s almost dry. Pusha revealed he made sure he had the right record before taking it to the Roc Nation boss.
“When I approach him about a record, I feel like somehow he knows I’m not going to approach him about shit,” he said. “I really have to think this is a joint or something that will add to the great legacy he has.”
He knew only JAY-Z would be able to add something different to the song. “Where he’s made it in his career and in his life, he can always add an upward trend to the record. I can’t say what he says.”
Besides JAY-Z, It’s almost dry includes performances by Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver and more. Pusha released the video for “Call My Bluff” earlier today.
Despite Hov’s height, that didn’t stop Bobby Shmurda from recently saying he’d rather have a verse from Pop Smoke than JAY-Z, sparking debate on social media.
