TI was arrested in Amsterdam after colliding with a police officer.
The Atlanta rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 3rd) to explain what happened. According to TI, he was riding a bike when a police officer stopped next to him and told him not to use his phone. He slowed as the officer cut him through in his vehicle. The handlebars of TI’s bike broke off the policeman’s side mirror.
He was taken into custody but not handcuffed. Instead, the officer “invited” him into the police car.
“Well, I’m locked up now,” Tip said later while he was waiting in a holding cell. “Of course I’m not allowed to have my cell phone when I’m cycling and because the policeman ran me over and broke his [side mirror], and because I didn’t have my passport with me. I don’t know, it will be fine. “
While the officer was “extremely angry”, Tip seemed to take everything calmly. “I had a great time myself. I’m still not upset – I’m having a phenomenal time. They arrested me and didn’t even handcuff me. They just opened the door and invited me to the back seat. I have agreed.”
He tried cash to pay his bail, but they only accepted loans. “We’re working on the buddy system out here and I like it,” he said.
After receiving his passport, he was released 25 minutes later and Tiny was labeled “the love of my life” for sticking with him through everything. When a friend of his called the incident “bullshit”, TI was more lenient. “Everyone has a bad morning,” he said.
TI traveled through Europe with his wife. The couple, who are being investigated for sexual assault, are celebrating their eleventh wedding anniversary.
