Tyler, the creator’s new album Call me if you get lost came Friday along with an apology to Selena Gomez.
On track # 9, “Manifesto,” starring Domo Genesis, Tyler reveals that he apologized to the pop star after a series of inappropriate tweets about her in 2010 and 2011. At the time, an 18-year-old Gomez was dating Justin Bieber, who was good friends with Tyler.
“I was a teenager and tweeted crazy shit to Selena / didn’t mean to insult her, apologize when I saw her / when I tried to fuck Bieber, Justin,” he raps.
Selena and Justin were on and off between 2011 and 2018.
Many of Tyler’s explicit tweets about Gomez have since been deleted, but some still remain on his timeline.
