Every week there is a new series of heat given off by some of your favorite rappers. Today (July 23) it is no different. Fans will receive a debut album of a bubbly melodic rhyme, a second LP from one rapper from another The Pond, and a new mixtape from an aspiring rapper whose talent has drawn the attention of many.
Yung Bleu has been singing for a while and lately has been making hits with some of rap’s biggest names. And now the Alabama rhyme has offered its debut album, Moon boy. When Bleu released his album cover earlier this month, he shared an explanation of the LP’s title. “I KEEP MYSELF IN CONVO AFTER I LEAVE MY MOST IMPORTANT LABEL SITUATION, I WAS LOST AND HONESTLY, I HAVE NOTHING I WOULD DO,” he said as he thanked his supporters and talked about the obstacles he faced Had to overcome to reach this point in career. “All I knew was that I couldn’t give myself up. EVEN IF I HAVE TO DO IT INDEPENDENTLY AND NEED TO LEARN WHILE. THE SKY WAS THE LIMIT. Somehow we exceeded that and went to the moon. WE HAVE ACHIEVED WHAT THEY SAY I CAN NEVER DO THEM AS AN INDEPENDENT ARTIST. ” Yung Bleu’s offering includes performances by Chris Brown, Big Sean, Drake, Moneybagg Yo, John Legend and more.
British rapper Dave delivers his second album, Together we are all alone. The successor from 2019 2019Psychodrama Contains 12 songs and guest appearances by Stormzy, Wizkid, James Blake and more. The LP was preceded by the single “Clash” with Stormzy, which reached number 3 in the UK Singles Chart. “I put my heart and soul into this, my ups and downs, my insecurities, my pain, my truth, my family, my relationships, my everything,” Dave recently commented on his latest social media post. “I have nothing left. In the dark, piano-driven intro track “We’re All Alone”, Dave raps about his Nigerian roots, his relationship with his mother, helping fans through social media and the weight on his shoulders.
Yo Gotti’s CMG signatory EST Gee also released a mixtape this week. On Tuesday (July 20th), Gee’sGreater than life or death made up of amazing bars, a flowing river and living stories of his life in Louisville, Ky. The tape features performances by Lil Baby, Baby’s 4 Pockets Full Ent. Artist Rylo Rodriguez and Gees label colleague 42 Dugg on “5500 Degrees”, a sample of Juvenile’s 1998 joint “400 Degreez”. Future, Young Thug and Pooh Shiesty are also on the release.
